I am a coffee addict, but this morning I felt like tea as my thoughts went down the memory lane, where my mother and mother -in- law served tea every morning. Fresh tea every morning; every morning began with a soothing cup of hot, steaming aromatic tea.
We also had tea every evening, which we called “naalumani chai”,(4o’clock tea). That’s something I looked forward every evening after-school with some delicious home made snacks.
There are different types of teas. The quality and taste depends on the quality and taste of tea leaves.
Masala chai/tea
Made with tea leaves and spices( cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger) and of course milk and water. Sweetened with honey.
